3. Coverage Area

MedAssist247 membership provides global coverage, subject to the following conditions:

  • The member must be located more than 50 miles (80 kilometres) from their registered residence at the time of the incident.
  • Assistance services may be subject to local legal, aviation, regulatory, or operational restrictions.
  • Certain regions affected by war, sanctions, or governmental restrictions may limit operational response.

Coverage applies worldwide unless prohibited by law or international sanctions.

4. Activation of Assistance

The Global SOS Centre will:

  • Assess the situation
  • Liaise with medical professionals

  • Coordinate transportation or support services

All service decisions are made at the reasonable discretion of MedAssist247 based on medical, operational, and safety considerations.

Member preference may be considered but cannot override clinical or operational judgement.

7. Financial Structure

Operational funding decisions are made based on:

  • Membership status

Members are responsible for disclosing known pre-existing medical conditions when requested during membership registration. MedAssist247 may limit or modify assistance services where an incident arises directly from a pre-existing condition that was undisclosed, unstable, or subject to medical advice against travel.

No Incident in Progress

Membership cannot be purchased or activated for the purpose of obtaining assistance for an incident, illness, injury, or situation that has already occurred or is already in progress at the time of application. Unless otherwise specified, membership becomes active 48 hours after purchase.
